A Story You’ll Love In Any Genre
Like The Town Time Forgot, Yellow River Pledge is for mature readers. It follows a successful medical examiner, Dr Jordan Chamberlain as she struggles with the closure of one life and the beginning another.
It’s not easy to make new friends at any age. Every year till about the fourth grade, I struggled to help my daughter adjust to a new class with new friends and teacher. That’s why when she brought her 3rd grade gardening journal home for me to sign, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to pen a story around the journey her class had just completed with the Everything Garden. I know it’s a story your children will read over and over again.
Mature readers will enjoy the time traveling nailbiter, the Town Time Forgot. It’s a story you won’t soon forget as US Marshal Devon McKenzie and NYPD Chris Gates are caught in a time warp that sends them fighting for their lives in 1869. Although it’s a longer story (about 700 pages) it is sure to keep you engaged as they are hurled back into the present day to discover the modern day threats are even more dangerous.. (Warning – some of the material is graphic with violence and sexual situations.)
Who Is Lisa Colodny?
Lisa Robin Phillips Colodny (1963 - ) was born and grew up in the rural countryside of Kentucky. She attended the University of Kentucky and Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, graduated with a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University in 1994 and later obtained an MBA in 2004. Her non fiction publishing history includes approximately 34 publications in the health and science industry and 5 book contributions (also medical). Additionally, she's been interviewed for 15 television programs or newspaper articles and participated in over 50 healthcare related speaking events. Fiction publishing history includes a short story publication (My Name is Edith) for the Broward College newspaper and an X-files story (H2O)that appeared in a magazine entitled to the Fullest X tent in 1997.
I’m pleased with all the positive reviews I received for both books. Initially, I was fearful the violence described in the Town Time Forgot would dissuade readers from fully enjoying the story but that hasn’t been the case. Equally pleasing was the Purple Dragonfly Award presented to Ms Abrams’ Everything Garden for excellence in children’s literature (school issues).

Dr. Jordan Chamberlain is a successful, beautiful, young medical examiner with the perfect husband, the perfect life, and perfect friends. Somewhat of a whiz, kid, she’s younger than most Medical Examiners and enjoys a bit of glamour whenever her forensic data is sent to trial. To an outside observer, Jordan has it all, until that is, her husband, Jason, announces without warning that he doesn’t want to be married anymore and Jordan’s perfect life crashes and burns around her.
Jordan buries herself even deeper in her work, temporarily embarking on a career consulting with the FBI’s Violent Crimes Division under the careful eye of college friends turned colleagues, who support her during her as she tries to rebuild her life.
Her future, however, is about to be compromised once more when she becomes the target of the serial killer she’s been pursuing.
